OOTD and the rose coloured glasses come off.....

So I took some outfit of the day pictures yesterday before I headed out to a birthday lunch and movie with Ella and I'll be honest.....I'm not liking what I see.

I knew my weight was creeping back up, but nothing makes you face the facts quite like looking at a picture of yourself. Oct and the beginning of Nov are brutal with tasty temptations and lots of indulging. There are tons of birthdays (both family and friends) as well as Halloween and Thanksgiving. Unless you go in with an iron will, it's going to catch up to you. Clearly my will was more like a marshmallow....
When I got on the scale last night it was to find I had gained back all 10 lbs that I had lost over the summer plus 1. Depressing.....yes, but actually more motivating than anything. It's time to rein in this runaway train and get serious. I feel strong and I know I can do this. I've also now said it on this blog and I hope you'll hold me responsible. Yes, Christmas is coming up and it will be hard (that's what she said), but it will never be any easier and you either do it or you don't. I went shopping last night and my fridge is now filled with veggies and low fat/high protein snacks. No excuses!

Back to the OOTD...

Cardigan: George
Scarf: George
Shirt: Old Navy
Jeans: d.jeans
Boots: Bamboo from Winners
Bracelet: Wal Mart

Now for some motivation. When I really need it I visit my Pinterest motivation board, it's a huge board and over the next while I will be taking lots of different pins from it and sharing them here. I hope it motivates you too.

It's definitely what you eat that makes the difference, so it's important to get that under control with healthy choices and small portion sizes.

And my cardio of choice? Running. Even though I love to hate it. I feel amazing when I'm done, like I really accomplished something, and it's usually because I have. Running is hard.

Any a quick beauty review before I go (I have several others coming up...just want to use them for a longer period of time before I review).
Marc Anthony 2nd Day Clear Dry Shampoo - give this one a pass. It makes absolutely no difference, you may as well just be blowing air on your greasy roots. Stick with the Dove dry shampoo, still my fav.
