I came across this fun idea for the kiddies on Pinterest and knew it would be perfect for this week's Pinspiration Friday post. This is how to make a mini greenhouse out of an old rotisserie chicken container. Luckily I just happened to have said container from making chicken and rice soup earlier in the week.
We started with the container, two spoons for the kids to use in the dirt and a package of nasturtium seeds Ella chose when we went out earlier in the day.
Ella poked a couple of holes in the bottom of the tray...
Marshall played foreman and inspected her work...
Then came time to fill the container with soil...
Once the container was filled it was time for the seeds..
A lot of seeds were planted in this little container and to be honest I'm not quite sure were they all are, they just had fun pushing them in and burying them.
All planted with a little bit of water and ready to go..
Adding one final touch...
Now it's ready for a sunny window which is exactly where it ended up.
We should see little sprouts coming up in the next week or two and I know the kids will get a kick out of that. I have the perfect place for the plants to go once they are ready to be planted outside.
Have a great weekend!
They looked like they had a lot of fun making that. Good idea, I've seen that pin a number of times but never have the container.
