I feel like I'm really back at it again. This week has been a good one, with only the occasional indulgence followed by a good work out to combat it. The Easter candy is now gone and our delicious Sunday dinner complete with pork roast, mashed potatoes, gravy, apple crisp and ice cream for dessert and an Old Fashioned cocktail to celebrate the season six premiere of Mad Men is a distant memory (speaking of Mad Men..did you watch the premiere? What did you think?).
I was up and at 'em this morning to walk my 7km in the glorious sunshine, which by the way is the most wonderful head clearing and greatfulness inducing way to start your day. It was so warm today too and everything smelled of spring. Look at all the new budding growth on these maple trees...
You may remember that in my last Motivation Monday post I very unhappily reported that I had managed to put on five pounds over the Easter holiday/Spring break period, well, I managed to get rid of four of them so I am now only up by one pound. I should be able to get rid of that one along with a couple of it's friends by next weeks Motivation Monday post.
I am planning to continue to walk every morning but add in more running in the evenings, as in running EVERY evening...5km..on my treadmill, and a hike up Mt Tzouhalem every Saturday morning. That is quite a bit of exercise and I should see more results, especially if I'm not peppering it with Easter candy. ;)
I do need to throw some good abdominal workouts in there somewhere, any recommendations?
You go girl! Good luck with the workouts! I'm a fan of any sit-ups that don't involve lifting my neck up, like standing sit-ups, lowering my legs up and down, and lots of roman twists!
ReplyDeleteThanks DON, my back has been bugging me off and on so I know I need to tighten up that core!
